## How affiliate links work

When you click a "Visit" button, you go through a short redirect at toolsguide.net/go/... before landing on the product's site. If the product has an affiliate program and you sign up or buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We count these clicks anonymously to see which pages help people; we don't store anything that identifies you.
## What it never changes

- Our ratings and rankings. A product with no affiliate program can, and often will, beat one that pays us.
- Which products we cover.
- What we say about a product's downsides.

## Sponsored content

From time to time a company may sponsor a placement, such as a featured spot or a newsletter slot. Sponsored placements are always labelled "Sponsored" and are kept separate from our reviews and rankings.
